A Superb Vetiver Scent Jul 03, 2008 Roger & Gallet's Vetyver: Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides) is a grass having a fresh, earthy, woodsy scent and there aren't many colognes that make good use of it as a primary scent -- this is one that does. This cologne is not too "perfumey" and can be worn by anyone. One reviewer said "old fashioned" (in a good way) and I'd add classic as an adjective. Vetiver essential oil is coveted by perfumeries everywhere. Crabtree and Evelyn used to make a very similar scent, but Roget & Gallet have improved upon it with this lighter, oh-so-pleasant scent. Agreed: highly recommended!

Delightfully yummy... Mar 21, 2005 ...reassurringly old fashioned. Like the best of French perfumery products should be. Smells of style, sophistication and a knowing sense of what makes life good! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
